Time scales of the photoinduced demagnetization and magnetization recovery are found. It is shown that demagnetization of FePt and FePd films occurs on different time scales, ∼0.2 ps and ∼3 ps, respectively. This difference makes these films promising for artificial multilayer ferrimagnets with high perpendicular anisotropy suitable for all-optical fast high-capacity information storage devices.</p></abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>palladium-iron alloy</kwd><kwd>platinum-iron alloy</kwd><kwd>epitaxial film</kwd><kwd>time-resolved magnetooptical Kerr effect</kwd><kwd>perpendicular anisotropy</kwd></kwd-group><funding-group><funding-statement xml:lang="en">The work was supported by the Russian Scientific Foundation, project No. 18-12-00459.
